Children are welcome to bring their favorite poem, write one themselves or simple relax and listen. A calm relaxing place for all ages and all family members to gather and slow down. Please bring your favorite tea cup and dress to be outside during all seasons. 

*It was fun to say Tuesday Tea Time however we sadly have to shorten the alliteration because we are now hosting it on Mondays! The 3rd Monday of every month to be exact, hope that helps. We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces again.

We are excited to continue to host this monthly class at the Portola Library, providing a creative space where builders of all ages can gather to innovate and play. Whether you're a Master Builder or just starting out, everyone is welcome. Each month, we'll dive into a new Building Challenge that will put your imagination to the test. From towering skyscrapers to deep sea ocean creatures, nothing is impossible.

Calling all young creators, builders, and imaginative minds! Step behind the scenes into this thriller of a workshop to help bring this year’s community Haunted House to life.

In this hands-on workshop, kids won’t just be crafting—they will be set designers and prop masters. Using recycled materials, natural forest elements, paper mâché, and woodworking tools, our crew will engineer spooky props, glowing pathway lanterns, and eerie installations that will be featured in our upcoming Halloween on the Homestead event. Every maker will receive VIP passes to the haunted house during open hours of Halloween on the Homestead. Drop-Off

Join us for some classic fall time fun on the homestead. Come say hello to Horchata and all her goat friends, plus the pigs and chickens are there searching for their next treat. Savory a fresh apple cider donuts while you look for your perfect pumpkin. And for those who feel brave enough, we are returning with our 2nd annual Haunted House. A spooktacular treat for most ages.

The woods of Clio transform into a living theater as students step into the magic of production, where imagination meets teamwork. Moving beyond the traditional stage, our young performers will learn to use the natural landscape as their backdrop, discovering how to bring a story to life in the heart of the forest. These 5-days challenge students to be both the creators and the stars, fostering deep confidence as they navigate the journey from a blank page to a standing ovation.  Drop-Off

Celebrate the season of giving with a cozy, hands-on maker workshop! In this festive December session, young creators will step into the studio to handcraft thoughtful, personalized gifts just in time for the holidays.

Kids will learn the art of basic candlemaking, pouring their very own clean-burning candles scented with natural winter fragrances like pine, cinnamon, and sweet orange. Next, they’ll dive into printmaking and papercrafting, using holiday stamps, botanical sprigs, watercolors, and fine pens to design a custom set of heartfelt cards to accompany their creations. A fun and flavorful evening for kids to connect, create, and share a meal together!
