What age group are these for?
Our sorkshops are designed for children aged 5 to 12. We find this range creates a wonderful "village" dynamic where everyone one has something to teach and learn from one another.
What should my child bring each day?
For all sessions, children should arrive with lunch and/or snack plus a refillable water bottle. Because we are "wild and free," please send your child in clothes that can get very dirty. Specific gear list for all sessions will be emailed 2 weeks before session starts.
Do we need to provide any material?
Every session is priced to include all materials and tools needed for that seesion. However we do like to reuse and recyle material, families may be ask to recycle or repurpose a random item such as a box or that perfict had we can use for a costume in our production for Theater in The Woods.
Where do sessions take place?
Most of our sessions take place at out home base in Clio, CA. Our Farm Hand session and our Saturday Markets are held at Sierra Valley Farms in Beckwourth.
How do the Saturday Markets work?
For our Makers Market weeks, the children work toward a real-world deadline: hosting their own youth table at the Saturday Sierra Valley Farmers Market. They will handle setup, display, and customer service. This is a highlight of a week's worth of hard work creating, building and planning. Children get to see the full cycle of their hard work.
What is your cancellation policy?
Since our sessions are capped at 13 children to ensure quality and safety, every spot is vital. Please see our registration page for a complete breakdown of our cancellation policy.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. There is a 20% discount for siblings in all our workshops.
